Maryann Nepomuceno
Maryann Nepomuceno is Vice-President at Deutsche Bank’s Global Business Services and was recently named Global Head of Business Continuity, encompassing Investment Bank Operations ( IB Ops - Back Office), Transaction Management Group (TMG - Middle Office) and Deutsche Bank Operations International (DBOI – Offshoring and Nearshoring Group). As Global Head, she has responsibilities for business continuity in the various regions, which include the Americas, Germany, including Continental Europe, London and Asia-Pacific, which includes India, Singapore and Manila. As the Global Head of Business Continuity, Maryann acts as the Coordinator for all business continuity activities and the Liaison for the Corporate Security and Business Continuity (CSBC) Group in providing communication updates that may impact the operations of the business, crisis management in the event of a significant business disruption, including the facilitation of recovery site and data center testing activities and Business Continuity Management documentation requirements in compliance with the Global BCM Policy. Prior to her current role, Maryann worked at Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Security and Business Continuity and was responsible for providing support and coordination efforts to CSBC Partners in the Private Clients and Asset Management Group, the Technology groups and the Legal Group. In the summer of 2006, Maryann was sent to work in India for two months as part of the Global Staff Exchange Program, helping out with the deployment of the Business Recovery Facilities in Bangalore and Mumbai, in support of Deutsche Bank’s off-shored processes. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Maryann was a Vice-President at JPMorgan Chase's Global Technology Infrastructure Business Resumption Group, responsible for overall customer support for critical Lines of Businesses that subscribe to the Firm's Business Recovery Facility across North America. In this position, Maryann was one of the key team members responsible for helping her New York City clients find alternate workspace recovery during the September 11th, 2001 tragedy. She was also responsible for the successful recovery of people and functions during the New York City Blackout of August 2003 and the hurricanes of September 2003, which mitigated the financial risk to the Firm. Maryann has always been a strong proponent of diversity and was recently awarded a “Leader in Diversity†by Deutsche Bank. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Multicultural Partnership (MCP) Group, an Employee Networking Group at Deutsche Bank. She is very active in several community-based organizations, currently serving as Co- Chair of the Filipino American Human Services, Inc. (FAHSI), a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of the Filipino Americans in New York. She is also the Outreach Ministry Director of the Filipino Diocesan Apostolate (FDA) and serves as an Executive member of the Diocesan Pastoral Council, acting as an adviser to Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio in the Diocese of Brooklyn. Maryann also finds time as a Lector and Trustee at Ascension Church in Elmhurst and is an active member of the Stewardship and Finance Committees. Additionally, she is a Board member of the Contingency Planning Exchange (CPE), a professional association dedicated to providing an open exchange of information related to business continuity, crisis and emergency management. Maryann holds a Bachelor of Science - Accounting degree from St. Paul's College and a Certified Public Accountant license in Manila, Philippines and holds a Masters in Business Administration degree in International Finance from St. John's University in New York. She is married to Renato and has been blessed with two children, Rachel Ann and Marlon Alfred. |
