Tariq Khan is a recognized business leader in marketing, branding, innovation, digital marketing, social media, and diversity arena. Tariq's work, interviews and articles have been published in several trade and industry publications and media including CNN International LIVE. Tariq is the founder and CEO of Global Diversity Marketing, Inc., a management consulting firm focused on helping organizations to better understand the changing marketplace. Tariq Khan is also the President of Muxlim Inc., a venture backed social media marketing and lifestyle media company, focused on lifestyle as a part of a diverse, all-inclusive world which recognizes and welcomes people of all faiths and background. Tariq has had a distinguished twenty-year career, mostly at global fortune companies including MetLife, Nationwide, and ING. Tariq has held several senior management roles with these companies. In his last corporate position, Tariq was senior vice president and head of market development for ING, where he led ING's strategy to expand growing emerging markets. In his first year in the consulting business, Tariq has consulted for major global brands like Wilson, MoneyGram, Wells Fargo and launched cutting edge marketing and digital campaigns redefining "Innovation." Tariq has equally impressive contributions in the non-profit area. He is a board of director at the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund, the largest U.S. organizations devoted to scholarships for Asian and Pacific Islander American students. He conceived and managed scholarship benefits events for APIASF students that generated over $3 million in the first five years. Tariq is also a board of director at the Asian Pacific Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS), a national non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Asian Pacific American participating and representation at all levels of the political process, from community services to elected office. Tariq is also an adjunct professor of marketing and public relations at New York University SCPS. Khan earned a bachelor's degree in international marketing and advertising from Baruch College, New York, an MBA in marketing and management from St. John's University, New York, and an Executive Management Certificate from Babson College, MA. He is a frequent speaker at many industry conferences on leadership, global marketing, cultural changes, connecting with the non-traditional customers (multicultural, women, baby boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, and the digital generation), segmentation, diversity & inclusion, social media marketing, and innovative marketing. |
