Michael Mau, Community Outreach & Liaison Program Manager, CIA
Michael Mau serves as a Community Outreach & Liaison Program Manager under the Director, Central Intelligence Agency staff. He has over 20 years of experience with the CIA in the areas of; diversity recruitment & security. Mr. Mau's previous assignments included serving as the Chief, Diversity & Regional Recruitment Program, Recruitment Center and Diversity & Recruitment Program Manager for the National Clandestine Service. Mr. Mau is a recognized leader in the field of professional recruitment and was elected President, Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (2007-2008). He has served on professional committees both within and outside of the Federal government. He has experience in developing, implementing and managing diversity recruitment programs often with a focus on the Asian American community. Mr. Mau was the lead recruiter on the West coast and his region covered California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Alaska & Hawaii. He directly contributed to identifying, recruiting and advising applicants (many Asian Americans) with mission critical skills. Mr. Mau has received individual awards and unit citations for his efforts. Mr. Mau has volunteered his time to review scholarship applications for the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund and serves as a Mentor for junior Asian American officers at CIA. He is a member of the Asian American Government Executives Network and past officer in the Asian Pacific American Organization and Organization of Chinese Americans Young Professionals. Prior to his career with the CIA; Mr. Mau graduated with a degree in Chinese History and served in the U.S. Air Force. |
