Julayne Lee, Corporate Recruiting, UnitedHealth Group
Julayne Lee works in corporate recruiting at UnitedHealth Group, a leading healthcare company, which serves more than 75 million people worldwide. Prior to joining UHG, she was with SUPERVALU, Inc., a leading grocery retailer, where she co-founded and chaired the Asian Business Council. She co-created the first ever SUPERVALU Asian Pacific American Heritage Month poster. Before joining the corporate sector, she lived and worked in Seoul, South Korea teaching English to university students and business people at Sungkyunkwan University and Hanguk University of Foreign Studies. In addition, she worked for Samsung and the Korea Press Foundation. She also taught secondary mathematics in the US. As the NAAMBA Twin Cities (Minnesota) President, Julayne is passionate about growing and developing a pool of high-calibre Asian talent in the Twin Cities as well as raising awareness around the business opportunity for Asian American marketing initiatives. After a highly successful NAAMBA TC Launch on May 10, 2011 attended by employees from over ten Fortune 500 companies, she looks forward to leading the Asian American business community in the Twin Cities to the next level through strategic partnerships. Julayne was interviewed by Diversity Woman magazine for their February 2011 feature on Business Resource Groups. She serves on the Board of Advisors for the Midwest Asian American Student Union (MAASU) and was appointed by Governor Dayton to serve on the Council of Asian Pacific Minnesotans. Julayne holds a B.S. in Mathematics Education and received her MAEd from Hamline University. She is also a member of NSHMBA MSP. |
