Cliff Flamer, CEO, BrightSide Resumes
Cliff Flamer, CEO of BrightSide Resumes, is equipped with national certifications as both a professional resume writer (CPRW, NCRW) and career counselor (NCC), in addition to his MS in Career & College Counseling and BA in English. Before founding BrightSide Resumes in 2001, Cliff served as a lead recruiter in Silicon Valley where he worked directly with executive managers, department directors, human resources personnel, and other key players in the hiring process. He has written, edited, formatted, assessed, and consulted on 1000s of resumes and other career-related documentation. Cliff has been a guest on NPR's California Report with Scott Shafer, and his work and advice articles have appeared in numerous career journals and books, including a recent release of Cover Letters for Dummies. He earned the peoples' choice award for the first-ever World's Best Resume Writer Competition, hosted by Career Directors International. In addition to running BrightSide, Cliff has worked as a faculty member, graduate-level counselor, and undergraduate adviser at universities, community colleges, and private career colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area. Perhaps Cliff's most important credential is his reliable optimism, which has been known to be contagious. |
