Amy L. Wakeham, VP, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications, Cricket Communications

As Vice President, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations for Leap Wireless International, Inc., Ms. Wakeham is responsible for all of the Company’s external communications including Corporate Communications, Media & Public Relations and Investor Relations. In her role, Ms. Wakeham is responsible for developing and leading the strategic communications strategy for the corporate and consumer brands, serves as the primary interface for the Company with Wall Street, and works closely with internal teams to ensure that company messaging is consistent and relevant. Under her leadership, in 2010 Institutional Investor Magazine recognized Leap’s Investor Relations team as a top-rated team, second only to AT&T, in their industry. Ms. Wakeham and her team were also recognized in 2012 by the Public Relations Society of America with the prestigious PRSA Silver Anvil Award of Excellence for their PR campaign to launch the award winning Muve Music from Cricket.

Ms. Wakeham has over 15 years of financial and communications experience, including roles in Finance, Treasury and Accounting. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Treasurer of Leap Wireless and prior to that she led the revenue and inventory accounting department for the company. She started her career in public accounting at Ernst & Young.

Ms. Wakeham graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pepperdine University and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Irvine.
