Akshay Kothari is the co-founder and CEO of Alphonso Labs, the company that makes the Pulse App. In 2 years, Akshay has grown his company from zero to one that's valued at over $20 million. Pulse was featured by Steve Jobs in his keynote speech for ipad. Pulse is the only non-Amazon app that is shipped with every Amazon Fire. The company has gained interest from Rupert Murdock. Recently the company moved to the new headquarters in SF. Design. The inspiration for Pulse was borne out of their frustration with the news reading experience on mobile devices.
