Keyur Desai, Research Scientist, Kimberly-Clark Corporation
Keyur Desai is a Project Scientist at Kimberly-Clark Corporation since September 2008. Dr. Desai obtained his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2000, MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2008. Over the years Dr. Desai has had varied industrial experiences ranging from blade process development at Gillette company to characterization of hard drive coatings at Seagate. Dr. Desai’s research interests are in development and understanding of structure-property relationship in multi-functional polymeric materials. Through his varied research efforts Dr. Desai has authored 5 journal articles, numerous conference proceedings/presentations and several patent applications. Dr. Desai has been involved with Kimberly-Clark’s Asian employee based ERG, Focus Asia since 2009. He has had various roles with increasing responsibility in the Focus Asia organization and currently serves as the co-chair for the network. His major focus for the year has been to drive the talent attraction talent development agenda for the network and help K-C develop a robust pipeline of Asian leaders to deliver on its business opportunities. |
