Ranjit Tinaikar, Managing Director of Asset Management, F&R, Thomson Reuters
Ranjit Tinaikar is Managing Director of the Asset Management team at Thomson Reuters. His team is responsible for all desktop and feeds products that are sold to the full range of users in the Asset Management value chain globally: Analysts, Quant Specialists, Portfolio Managers, Marketing and Sales, Product Development, and Wealth Advisors. The suite of products include Eikon as the primary desktop, and a wide range of Content offerings including Lipper and Starmine. Ranjit joined Thomson Reuters in the latter half of 2012. Prior to that, Ranjit was a Senior Partner at McKinsey and Company where he lead the Technology and Operations practice in Retail Financial Services in USA, and more recently in Asia. Ranjit has served several major financial services institutions across USA, Canada, UK, India, Vietnam, Singapore and the Middle East. His range of experiences include turning around underperforming services organizations and banks, policy and reform in the public sector, and technology and operations transformations. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, he was also serving on several Advisory Boards including the Financial Regulatory Reforms Commission for the Government of India and the Payments Taskforce of the Ministry of Finance, India. Ranjit has also held roles in Citibank and Faculty positions in Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University, and Columbia University. Ranjit lives in New York City with his wife Deepika, and their two children, Ananya, and Kabir. |
