James J. Lee, Director, Corporate Marketing, Brand & Web Management, Cognizant
James has 20 years of corporate marketing and public relations experience working for leading global brands at Cognizant, Samsung, IBM and AT&T in the IT services and telecommunications industries. Currently, he is responsible for the corporate brand and web management including brand naming architecture, brand identity and corporate web site. His priorities include building brand awareness, leading development of branding campaign and leveraging the web as a scalable, powerful marketing platform. Also focused on developing organizational capabilities, tools and metrics to build a world-class marketing organization and ensure brand relevancy and consistency worldwide. Prior to joining Cognizant, he was Principal, Corporate Strategy & Marketing at Samsung SDS in Seoul, South Korea charged with building a world-class corporate marketing organization and developing corporate strategies. Prior to that James worked at IBM as a Marketing Manager in the Corporate Brand Strategy group developing the corporate brand and product naming strategies and working with business units to align brand priorities. He began his professional career as a Staff Manager at AT&T in the Public Relations group both in New York City and New Jersey managing constituency relations, corporate events, employee communications, speech-writing and marketing programs. James received a BA degree in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA in Marketing and Information Systems from Fordham University, NYC. |
