Pam Stoker, Assistant Director, Graduate Career Center, Neeley School of Business at TCU
Pam Stoker has a passion for helping individuals identify and realize dreams. As Assistant Director of the Graduate Career Center, Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University, she provides career management coaching to MBA students and alumni from around the world while connecting them to global employers for internships and jobs. Pam has particular responsibility for 30% of the MBAs who are foreign nationals on student visas. For this group, Pam coordinates cultural assimilation, intensive English programs, and specific career training with more intense one-on-one coaching. She also educates employers on the benefits and process to hire an international MBA student for an internship and/or job. In addition to her previous work as Vice President, Consulting Services, for Right Management Consultants, her experience includes healthcare management, non-profit, the arts, and business ownership. For 13 years, Pam coordinated the weekly JobNet, a community networking group for individuals in human resources, and she still maintains two extensive online job leads groups. She is a frequent guest speaker in Texas and around the US in the areas of personal branding, networking, job search, social media, and career management strategies. She also teaches a weekly early childhood music class. Considered a “Power User” of LinkedIn, Pam conducts LinkedIn training for professional and student groups, in person, via webinars, and at national conferences. She is zealous about helping business professionals, students, and corporate recruiters discover the power behind this dynamic business tool. A native of Alabama, Pam received her bachelor's degree in music education from Samford University in Birmingham. Her professional affiliations include International Careers Consortium, NACE, NBMBAA, NSHMBA, AMBA, and SHRM. She is a past president of the Fort Worth HR Management Association, serving 2 years on the Texas State Council; a former board member of the Learning Center of North Texas; and she recently completed 5 years on the international Board of the MBA Career Services and Employers Alliance, where she co-chaired the Membership and International Committees. Pam and her husband Tom live in Fort Worth, Texas, and have two children and two grandchildren. |
