Tim Hwang, Founder & CEO, FiscalNote
Tim Hwang is a technology entrepreneur and Senior Adviser for Government Innovation with experience building early-stage organizations and understanding complex policy issues. He currently serves as the Founder and CEO of FiscalNote, a tech company that utilizes open data and artificial intelligence to create next-generation legal software. FiscalNote has raised $28M+ to date from NEA, Mark Cuban, Jerry Yang, Steve Case, and Renren. Tim previously served as the President of the 750,000-member National Youth Association and founded the social enterprise Operation Fly, Inc. for which he was given the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Prior to heading up the NYA, he was elected to serve as a member of the MCPS Board of Education, overseeing a budget of over $4 billion for 150,000 students, and was one of the first field organizers for President Obama’s 2008 campaign. Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and is currently on leave from Harvard Business School. |
