Iwan de Leeuw, Country HR Leader, GE Global Growth Organization, Singapore
Iwan was born in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Upon graduating secondary school he entered the Dutch Armed Forces, and after four and one-half years of service, achieving the rank of second lieutenant, resigned his commission to attend University. He graduated from Leiden University in 2002 with a Master’s degree in Japanese and Management, and moved to Japan were he began his career as an executive search consultant managing contingency and executive search engagements in the automotive, industrial manufacturing & electronics industries. In 2005 he moved to the U.S., where he started working as a recruiter supporting GE Capital’s Healthcare Financial Services business. He joined GE's Human Resources Leadership Program in 2007 and had assignments in Danbury, Connecticut, Oak Brook, Illinois, and Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduation in 2010 he joined GE Working Capital Solutions as a HR generalist, worked as a HR Generalist supporting GE Capital Bank from 2012-2014, and in late 2014 was appointed Risk Talent Initiatives Leader for GE Capital. In 2015, he relocated to Singapore taking on a regional Organization & Talent Development role for GE ASEAN, and in 2016 was named to his current position. In his spare time Iwan likes to scuba-dive, snowboard, play golf and travel. He is married, and has a daughter. |
