Propelling More Pan-Asians into C-Suite Level

 
According to a  recent Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc. (LEAP) report, a staggering 77.8% of Fortune 500 companies have no Asian Pacific Islander (API) representation on their boards.  In 2011, only 2.43% of the total number of seats in Fortune 500 boards were held by APIs. Pan-Asian professionals, with advanced levels of education, tend to perform exceptionally well in entry level positions and maintain their careers at that level. However, regardless of high academic achievements and high degree of professional performance, majority of Pan-Asians are faced with exceptional obstacles moving up the ladder from mid-level management to beyond.
