Geared towards furthering the mission of the Council to cultivate, promote and develop multicultural women, the prestigious Leadership Luncheon provides an unparalleled platform for this important Summit.

Recognizing the unprecedented heights multicultural women across the world are reaching today and expressing the need to shed light on the obstacles faced by multicultural women as they rise to new professional heights, the Council organized the inaugural Women Leadership Summit at the 3rd Annual NAAMBA Leadership Conference last year in New York City.

Multicultural women leaders bring unique value to the organizations they work for. Developing a sustainable pipeline of talented multicultural women leaders to advance into senior leadership roles is imperative to an organization’s growth strategy as much as it is imperative to women’s aspirations of rising to new professional heights. 

 

Expected Learning Outcomes:


In this Women Leadership Summit Roundtable Discussion, you are invited to learn about the importance of providing professional development opportunities for multicultural women today so that they can become effective leaders tomorrow. You will hear personal stories from Roundtable participants on the role such opportunities played in advancing their careers and in career planning. Find answers to questions such as , why should companies  invest in programs geared towards advancing multicultural women in the workplace, what are  the challenges faced by companies in implementing such programs, how can women become the catalyst for inspiring change at companies which do not have such programs, and how can their counterparts, both females and males can play a role.

This will be a Roundtable panel which includes Q&A session and consists of 1 moderator and 3 speakers. 

 

Speaker Criteria


We are calling for accomplished women leaders who hold a mid-senior level management position with significant work experience in the subject-matter and are interested in sharing their perspectives with the audience by supplementing their expertise with personal stories of opportunities and challenges they faced as they climbed to new professional heights.
